Charles Michael "Mike" Miles

     Charles Michael “Mike” Miles, age 71, of Harrisburg, passed away at 3:38 PM, March 1, 2025 at his home.

     Mike was born on August 29, 1953 in Harrisburg to George and Mary (Proctor) Miles.  He was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church. 

     Mike grew up in Harrisburg.  He was a Broadcaster at WEBQ Radio Station.  Mike worked several years at Old Ben Coal Company in West Frankfort and American Coal Company in Galatia.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and taking photos of outdoor nature scenery. 

     Mike is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin and Veronica Miles; one granddaughter, Carleigh Jade Miles; one grandson, Colsten Liam Miles; his mother, Mary Lois Miles; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Bill Gholson and Merry and Danny DeNeal; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and the mother of his son, Sheila (Blackwell) Miles.

     Mike was preceded in death by his father, George Miles; and brothers, James Lowell Miles and William Mark Miles.

     Graveside services for Charles Michael “Mike” Miles will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Sunset Lawn Cemetery.  Rev. Dewayne Taylor will officiate and burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 1:30 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Dorrisville Baptist Church Youth and will be received at the funeral home.
