Carolyn Beth Partain 76 of Harrisburg, passed away at 4:51 PM, January 1, 2024 at Carbondale Memorial Hospital.
Carolyn was born on May 7, 1947 in Harrisburg to the late Claude and Retta (Wilson) Winters. On November 15, 1963 she married Larry E. Partain and he preceded her in death. Carolyn was the housekeeping supervisor at Harrisburg Medical Center for 17 years. She attended Family Life Center in Harrisburg for several years. Carolyn was all about her family; she loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She also was actively involved in mission work and the cancer walk through Harrisburg Medical Center. Some of her fondest memories were of taking her grandkids to church camp out in Oklahoma which she did for several years. Carolyn was a very patient lady.
Carolyn is survived by three children, Larry “Buster” Partain and wife Crystal of Harrisburg; Tim Partain and wife Cindy of Eldorado; and Kristi Partain of Harrisburg; six grandchildren, Derek Partain and wife Shawna; Destiny Bartok and husband Devon; Rachel Gilbert and husband Steven; Ashley Marks and husband Dakota; Courtney Craig and husband Miller; and Whitney Maier and husband Cody; brother, Larry Winters and wife Phyllis of Ina; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Jack “J.P.” Purrington.
In addition to her parents, and husband Larry, Carolyn was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Winters, and sister, Marilyn Parrish.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
