Brenda Kay (Murrow) Gervais

     Brenda Kay Gervais, age 64 of Harrisburg, passed away at 1:16 AM, Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at her residence with her husband by her side.

     Brenda was born on April 19, 1961 in Harrisburg to Claude and Carolyn (Ledbetter) Murrow.  On May 14, 2004 she married Gregory Paul Gervais, and he survives in Harrisburg.  Brenda was Baptist by faith.  She worked as a seamstress at the glove factory and Futon factory at Carrier Mills.  Brenda enjoyed crocheting and fishing, especially tightline catfishing.  She was a very loving, forgiving, but stubborn woman. 

     Brenda is survived by her husband, Gregory; son, Terry Scott Murrow and fiancée Mandy Batson of Carrier Mills; daughter, Kristin Nichole Nelson and husband, Alfred of St. Charles, Missouri; grandchildren, Nicholas Scott Murrow; Briley and Brantley Murrow; Ryan Clifton; Olivia, Miles, and Gabriel Nelson; Brice Batson and wife Madison; great-grandchildren, Steeley Batson; Ava Clifton; and Adaline Murrow; sister, Kimberly Dawn Hubbard of Harrisburg; sister, Beverly Alvey and husband Alan, of Harrisburg; brother-in-law, Don Gervais and wife Sandy of Galena, Illinois; brother-in-law, Dave Gervais and wife Sue of Crystal Lake, Illinois; brother-in-law, Chris Gervais and wife Eileen of Crystal Lake, Illinois; Gary Gervais and wife, Eileen Estrada of Puerto Rico; sister-in-law, Sue Stankevich and husband Dave of Alberta, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Murrow.

     A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to Stricklin Funeral Home and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
