Bobby Gene Wilson

     Bobby Gene Wilson, 83 of Harrisburg, passed away at 4:06 PM, Monday, March 27, 2023 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

     Bobby Gene was born on January 14, 1940 in Harrisburg, to the late William T. and Olia Bernice (Ward) Wilson. Bobby Gene married the former Susie Woodruff on February 24,1965. and she survives in Harrisburg. He worked as a delivery driver first for Coca-Cola for 14 years and then he moved to Sunbeam bread for 6 years and retired from Roundy’s after working for 30 years. Bobby Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

     In addition to his wife Susie, Bobby Gene is survived by son, Dennis Wilson and wife Betty of Herrin; son, William Thomas Miller and wife Kate of Carterville; son, Timothy Damon Wilson and wife Casey of Vandalia, daughter, Tabitha Dean Wilson of Marion; eleven grandchildren, Erika Owens and husband Travis of Iuka; Ryan Lee Wilson and  Sandi of Iuka; Heather Dawn Cross of Marion, Kentucky; Hailee Elizabeth Watts and husband Bobby of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; Jacob Alexander Wilson and wife Lily of Vandalia; Traxton Daniel Taylor and girlfriend Logan of Vergennes; Tarynn Deane’ Patterson and husband Quinton of Carbondale; Maresha Mitchell of Springfield; Kegan Mitchell and wife Mica; Amber Albright and husband Brandon of Herrin; Breklyn Rogers and husband Brenan of Terra Haute, Indiana; eighteen great grandchildren; dear friends, Jimmy Dudley and Eugene “Gene” Griffith of Harrisburg and fury best friend Miles.

      Bobby Gene was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Deborah Ann Wilson.

     There will be no services for Bobby Gene Wilson.
