Bill Culkin

     Bill Culkin, age 56 years, a resident of rural Vienna, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon, May 31, 2024, at his home.
     Bill was born August 18, 1967 in Ogden, Utah. He was the son of Fulton Edward Culkin and Marcella Caroline Eisterhold. On February 13, 2016, Bill was married to the love of his life, Wendi Koehler, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bill worked in the emergency medical service field for 31 years. He spent the past 12 years working for AMR/Abbott EMS in Benton, Illinois. Bill was a member of the Masonic Fraternity. He loved to travel and take adventures with his wife. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hiking and camping. He was a member of the Catholic faith.
     In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by: children – Bryan Culkin & Kirby, Brandon Culkin & Haley, Taryn, Tanner and Tori Bailey; grandchildren – Chloee, Rylynn, Jaeleigh, Dexten, Ellie, Eva and Everett Culkin.
     Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
     A funeral service honoring the life of Bill Culkin will be conducted Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Stricklin Funeral Home, 503 East Sloan Street, Harrisburg, Illinois. There will be a memorial walk-thru by regional first responders at 1 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. The funeral service will immediately follow. Pastor Steve Hammond will officiate. Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Visitation will be conducted from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. Wednesday at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Memorials may be made to the family for a scholarship which will be established in Bill’s memory and presented to a student pursuing paramedical certification. Checks may be made to Wendi Culkin.
