Beth Ann (Reed) Crews 61, of Harrisburg peacefully passed on June 5th 2024.
Beth was born on August 20, 1962 in Harrisburg to Larry Reed and Utha Mae (Melton) Angelly. She spent her adolescent years skating and working at her father’s skating rink “Reed’s Skate Palace”, which was a fond memory she talked about often. Beth spent many years living in Florida raising her children and enjoying time at the beach. She worked hard as a Sales Associate selling high quality oak furniture. Beth was an active member of the “Junior League of South Brevard”, an organization geared to help provide refuge to women in need. Beth spent much of her free time shopping and going out to eat with friends.
Beth moved back to the Southern Illinois area to be closer to family. She is a member of McKinley Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed small children and worked as a paraprofessional at the Harrisburg school system. Beth had a special love for animals especially her grand dogs Hot Shot, Chewy, and Susie.
Beth is survived by her mother Utha Mae (Melton) Angelly of Harrisburg; three children, son Justin Lee Riley and wife Mindy of Mulkeytown, son Steven Coda Riley of Harco, daughter Laura Beth (Riley) Davis and husband Todd of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren Cassidy Riley, Emma Riley and fiancé Ray May, Coda Riley, Hannah Morgan and husband Payce, Hailey Absher, Emily Absher, Sage Davis, Finnegan Davis, and Fischer Davis; great grandson Augustus Michael Morgan; daughter in law Elizabeth Scott of Harrisburg; brother Chris Reed of Harrisburg; two step brothers, Eric Pankey of Palm Bay, FL and Jeff Pankey of Harrisburg; cousin Lisa (Browning) Theil and husband Thim Theil of Maryland Heights, MO; cousin BJ Browning and wife Carla of St. Louis, MO, and several cousins, a niece, and nephews.
Beth is preceded in death by her father, Larry Lee Reed, sister in law Trudy Reed, aunt Donna Browning and aunt Ruby Johnson.
Memorial services for Beth will be held at 2 PM, Sunday June 9th 2024 at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg. Rev. Jerry Wells will officiate.
