Barbara Jean (Clark) Maurer

Barbara Jean Maurer age 63, of Harrisburg, passed away at 8:55 AM, Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Evansville Select Specialty Hospital surrounded by her family.

     Barbara was born on May 15, 1961 in Flint, Michigan to the late Donald and Imogene (Tedford) Clark.  She married Larry Maurer on November 11, 1994 and he survives in Harrisburg.  Barbara was a care giver; she worked as a CNA at many nursing homes from here to the east coast.  Her grandchildren were her greatest love; but she was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.  Barbara was also a great cook.

      Barbara is survived by her husband, Larry Maurer of Harrisburg; five children, daughter, Holly Milligan of Harrisburg; son, Wayne Milligan of Raleigh; daughter, Sandra Duty of Green Bay, Wisconsin; daughter, Ocean Maurer of Harrisburg; son, River Maurer of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Heather Palmer and husband, Rev. Alex Palmer of Hornersville, Missouri; Mason Milligan of Raleigh; Raela Milligan of Virginia; Pepperann Duty of Green Bay, Wisconsin; three great grandchildren, Easton, Avery and Elliot Palmer; brother, Bob Clark of Harco; sister, Patty Horton and husband Clark of Harrisburg; brother-in-law, Homer Coleman, and sister-in-law, Kay Clark; sister-in-law, Teri Clark and several nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Clark; brother, Jim Clark; brother, Roger Clark; sister, Judy Coleman; brother, John Clark and sister-in-law, Pat Clark.

     A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM, on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Harris Pruett Building, 107 East Church Street, Harrisburg, Illinois.
