Adrian Edsel Rister

     Adrian Edsel Rister, age 92, of Harrisburg, passed away at 1:08 AM, Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

     Adrian was born in Eldorado on December 14, 1928 to Jess and Iva Leora (Brown) Rister. On September 24, 1950 he married Wilma Rhine and she survives in Harrisburg. He was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church where he served as custodian for over 20 years. Adrian also farmed for more than 35 years.

     Adrian is survived by his wife, Wilma Rister of Harrisburg; son, Darrell Rister and wife, Robin of Harrisburg; son, Mike Rister of Shelbyville, Tennessee; son, Ron Rister of Harrisburg; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Shirley Rister of Eldorado.

     Adrian was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wilson Rister and his wife, Eva; brother, Gene Rister; sister, Juanita Stallings and husband, Wayne Stallings; and sister, Rita Awalt and husband, Harry.

     Funeral services for Adrian Rister will be held at 1 PM, Friday, March 19, 2021 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Brent Holloway will officiate and burial will follow in Lindale Cemetery in Eldorado. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until 1 PM at Reed Funeral Chapel.
